One of the more intriguing EA Originals, Fe, finally has a release date and it looks like this musical, open-world adventure will be arriving sooner than expected.
Yesterday's Nintendo Direct Mini was flush with brand new games and DLCs that were on their way. We saw an announcement for Dark Souls Remastered for all consoles, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and Luigi joining Super Mario Odyssey, but there was one title that may have gone unnoticed, amongst the giants. That game would be a little indie title with big potential, the EA Original Fe.
Fe initially made its debut at EA's E3 2016 showcase as part of the company's "EA Originals" program, that highlights their smaller, indie developers and the extraordinary games their working on. The interesting thing about Fe is that after 2016, the game had 0 update for a full year and then miraculously appeared at Gamescom in 2017. A few months later and Fe has emerged once again, but now it's coming out next month.
Many assumed we would've seen an update at E3 2017, but clearly the European show, Gamescom, was a lot more convenient when you consider that the Swedish studio Zoink Games is developing this game. In case you forgot, see below for the synopsis:
In Fe, players will be enchanted by the natural surroundings as they uncover secrets, complete side quests, and meet the mystical creatures of the forest. Players will climb, glide and dig as they voyage through the open world experience, meeting, interacting and rescuing plants and animals from the Silent Ones, the machine antagonists that are threatening the forest. Through unparalleled freedom of exploration in a world full of discoveries to uncover, players will become Fe and never want to leave.
Fe will release on all consoles and PC on February 16, 2018.
