Netmarble issued an announcement today in Korea about a new – untitled – Magic: The Gathering mobile game that they have been developing in concert with the licensing team at Wizards of the Coast (codename: Project M, developer Netmarble Monster). A real-time multiplayer battling game, Project M follows in the footsteps of Netmarble’s other popular licensed titles such as Star Wars: Force Arena and Marvel: Future Fight. Netmarble is working closely with WOTC on the design and creature animations to bring the Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering to life in a way fans have never seen before.
Project M players will get to choose their Planeswalker, modify their deck of creatures and spells, and show off their creativity and strategy as they battle across the planes of the MTG Multiverse. Each creature & Planeswalker will be fully animated as they race across the battlefield to defeat their opponent.
We’ll have much more to say about this game as we get closer to its launch date later this year and will be sure to keep you in the loop.
