As Ubisoft gears up for the release of Far Cry 5, they're already looking ahead with a detailed post-launch schedule that includes the Far Cry Arcade, a new mode that bridges Ubisoft properties together! More within...
Trends and rules in the video game industry are always in flux. Some years, everything needs to have a VR function. Other years, there has to be motion controls. However, there is one rule that seems to be sticking, and it's definitely for the best. Before a AAA title releases, more and more developers have been thinking about life after launch, but few have put in the time and after like Ubisoft. Before Assassin's Creed: Origins released last year, Ubisoft already had their next 3 DLCs figured out. It made purchasing the Season Pass well worth it.
Ubisoft is at it again with their upcoming game, Far Cry 5. In preparation for what promises to be one of the most exciting, yet controversial, games of 2018, Ubisoft has announced their plans for Post-Launch Content in the form of an awesome trailer!
With the Far Cry 5 Season Pass & Gold Edition, gamers will get the following DLCs that do nothing to progress the story but do everything to continue the fun:
- Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers and save their fellow soldiers
- Dead Living Zombies: Players will team up with friends to fight waves of zombies across seven different scenarios cooked up by a b-movie director
- Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with martian arachnids to save Earth from an alien invasion
Furthermore, gamers will be able to get their hands on the Classic Edition of Far Cry 3, 4 weeks before it arrives this summer, included with the Season Pass. Owners of the PC version will have to wait a little longer for their copy, as it'll release later in 2018.
Being the inclusive publisher that they are, Ubisoft is providing free content for gamers, regardless of if you purchased the Season Pass or not. The free content will be part of Far Cry Arcade, which is a map editor that provides gamers with endless opportunities to generate a fully customizable map. What's even better is that FCA will unite assets from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Unity, and Watch Dogs for players to further their imagination.
Ubisoft is also planning Live Events for gamers to take part in, in order to get their hands on new, customizable inventory and skins.
Far Cry 5 releases March 27, 2018!
