Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Officially Announced for October Release

After rumors and teasing, Activision has revealed that this year's Call of Duty game will be Black Ops 4, with more information coming in a reveal event this May.

After returning to its World War II roots last year, Call of Duty is diving back into world of Black Ops. They announced Black Ops 4 will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on October 12, 2018. While rumors have persisted that the game would also be coming to the Nintendo Switch, there's no mention of it...yet. Then again, Nintendo has their own Direct show going on this afternoon, so perhaps they're waiting.  Guess we'll find out!

Black Ops is back! In what represents a game-changing experience, Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4 will revolutionize the top-selling series in Call of Duty® history when it launches worldwide on Friday, October 12 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Call of Duty fans can tune in Thursday, May 17, when publisher Activision, a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, and award-winning developer Treyarch host the community reveal to a worldwide audience.

Regardless, we're still going to have to wait until May to learn more about the game and to see it in action, but its still a nice reveal for fans.  Are you excited to see Call of Duty go back to the Black Ops well?
