The Sons of Anarchy/World War Z mashup will have to wait a little longer, as Sony has pushed back Days Gone to 2019. More inside...
Over the passed 2 years, Sony has made it a priority to give us annual updates for one of their more unique Playstation 4 exlusives, Days Gone. Our first exposure to Days Gone came during Sony's E3 2016 Press Conference, where we got to witness Sam Witwer survive a rabid hoard of zombies. Last year, at E3 2017, we were shown another gameplay trailer that gave us our first look at the ravenous Zombie Bear, that makes The Revenant bear seem like a Teddy Bear. With a release date of 2018, it looked like that would be the end of Days Gone being part of Sony's E3 Press Conferences, until now.
The official Days Gone website has changed the release date from 2018 to 2019 and Sony has released a statement confirming the change of date, courtesy of PCGamer.
"Days Gone will now be releasing in 2019 and we will keep you updated on the launch date."
With God of War and potentially Spider-Man releasing in 2018, it doesn't hurt Sony to have to move one of their AAA titles to the next fiscal year. If anything, it's a win-win, as Sony will automatically have a leg up in the books for 2019 and the studio (SIE Bend Studio) will get to spend a little more time on this promising game.
Days Gone will now release in 2019.
