With Capcom's having great success on re-released game, why not remake the one that sold the most!
It has been 12 years since the release of Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, mind you, this was not the best title in the series. Still, that does not take away that it has been a decade since the last Onimusha title has been released. A trademark has been filed by Capcom for Onimusha in Mexico, the Philippines, Canada, Australia, and in Europe.
This trademark cover digital and physical copies of the game, as well as merchandise and music. Now, for me this is really big deal since the last time a trademark was claimed it was made in Japan is 2015. I think if Capcom did not have plans for the series, they would not bother keeping the trademark after all this time.
Of course, I would love to see a new entry to the series, but if they decided to only remaster the titles I fine with that as well. With E3 just a few months away, I can only hope we get some news about the series rising from the ashes! For more news on this and all things E3, check back here at Cinelinx!
