Electronic Arts' biggest title of 2019 has announced a partnership with NVIDIA for the use of their innovative DLSS technology! More within...
Final Fantasy XV was one of the most visually impressive titles when it released, thanks in large part to Square Enix's decision to partner up with NVIDIA to incorporate their innovative Deep Learning Super-Sampling technology. It was a such a major success, several other games followed suit to take advantage of NVIDIA's groundbreaking neural network. One of the publishers that seems to have used it the most, lately, is Electronic Arts. 2018's Battlefield V was the most recent example, as it featured glorious graphics and effects. It happened to be the most redeeming quality in a game where it was hard to find any.
EA has now handed over, seemingly, their most important video game of the last few years, BioWare's Anthem, to NVIDIA to incorporate DLSS. So far, early returns are rather positive, as the world of Anthem looks positively stunning. Just take a look at the CES 2019 trailer to see how smooth and clear it looks.
Anthem joins NVIDIA at CES to show off never-before-seen Anthem gameplay powered by the Deep Learning Super-sampling (DLSS) technology of NVIDIA RTX graphic cards.
If you're unfamiliar with DLSS technology, here is the description of it from NVIDIA's developer page.
NVIDIA researchers have successfully trained a neural network to find these jagged edges and perform high-quality anti-aliasing by determining the best color for each pixel, and then apply proper colors to create smoother edges and improve image quality. This technique is known as Deep Learning Super Sample (DLSS).
