Sam Barlow and Annapurna Interactive have released the casting details for Telling Lies, the all-new narrative game and spiritual sequel to Her Story that will be available later this year.
The live-action main cast includes:
• DAVID: Logan Marshall-Green
o Best known for: Upgrade, The Invitation, Prometheus, Quarry, Damnation
• AVA: Alexandra Shipp
o Best known for: X-Men: Apocalypse, Love, Simon, Straight Outta Compton
• EMMA: Kerry Bishé
o Best known for The Romanoffs, Halt and Catch Fire, Scrubs
• MAX: Angela Sarafyan
o Best known for Westworld
Vivien Lyra Blair, best known for her role as “Girl” in Bird Box, also has a speaking role in the game.
Sam Barlow (repped by UTA) is the creator of the groundbreaking and award-winning narrative game Her Story. As previously announced, Telling Lies will expand upon the unique format of Her Story by delving into multiple characters, exploring the extent to which we can ever truly know those we love.
Under the direction of Sam Barlow, filming for Telling Lies started in December 2018; the cast wraps filming in Los Angeles next week. Replay Collective has been directly handling and overseeing all of the production tasks for the live-action video component of the game.
