Division 2 Private Beta to Feature Endgame Missions; New Trailer Released

Next week, Ubisoft unlocks the Private Beta for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 and it'll feature more than most betas would ever dare to include.  More within...

When a publisher/developer puts their beta in the hands of the public, the main idea is to gather feedback, whilst generating excitement from streamers and word-on-the-street avenues.  For Tom Clancy's The Division 2, Ubisoft is preparing to push the boundaries of typical betas, by allowing gamers in the Private Beta to experience an endgame mission, when the Private Beta begins on February 7 at 1am PT.

To commemorate the release of the Private Beta, Ubisoft released a new trailer that reveals a new setup for the Base of Operations and an interesting upgrade to the Dark Zones.

The Division 2 Private Beta starts February 7! In the Beta you’ll be able to play two Main Missions, get a glimpse of the Endgame with one Invaded Mission, try out the three Endgame Specializations, explore one of the revamped Dark Zones, play 4v4 PvP and much more.

Players who pre-order The Division 2 will instantly gain access to the Private Beta, but if you haven't and are feeling lucky, you can always apply for a chance to play, here.

The Private Beta will kick off by establishing your Base of Operations within the White House.  Afterward, you'll be free to roam the post-outbreak streets of Washington D.C. to see the devastation, fight any threats, find new gear, and upgrade to a level cap of 7.  That's not all, though.  The Beta will also feature a bevy of features to experience, like the following:

  • Two main missions, available in Story, Normal and Hard Mode
  • Five side missions and additional activities in the open world
  • Unique PvPvE gameplay in one of the three new Dark Zones
  • Organized PvP gameplay in one Conflict mode, Skirmish

In addition to this content, The Division 2 fans will have the opportunity to have a first hands-on with endgame content with one Invaded mission on February 8 at 8am PT. Players will experience gameplay at the level cap of 30 and unlock brand new Survivalist, Sharpshooter or Demolitionist specializations.  That's yet another hardcore difference between conventional betas and the one Ubisoft is orchestrating.

It'll be fascinating to see if, by allowing the Private Beta players to play an Endgame mission and what it's like to be Level 30, will warrant any positive responses enough for others to purchase the game.  We'll know soon enough, as Tom Clancy's The Division 2 debuts on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC March 15, 2019!

Play in the Private Beta from February 7 at 1am PT through February 11 at 1am PT.
