For the most part of what we've seen for NetherRealm (Mortal Kombat) and Warner Bros. upcoming game, Injustice: Gods Among Us, has been a whole lot of superhero ass-kicking, but very little story. Many have wondered what puts the heroes against one another (this time), and this newest trailer sheds a little light on the matter.
It's interesting to me, that with all the footage we've seen of this game so far, no one has really brought up the story. I mean, for the most part, I think fans are pretty contented with the idea of our favorite DC heroes and villains duking it out...nuff said. Even so, as we get closer and closer to that April 19th release date, more fans have wondered what the story behind the battle would be. While a comic book tie-in is set to release in order to cover a chunk of that information, this new trailer also gives you a clue.
It's an interesting plot line, and one I myself have wondered many times. What would have if the strongest person in the universe decided the only way to save humans would be to take control of them. It's a strong plot line than I honestly expected from the game, and I hope it turns out to be decent in that regard.
