One of the things I've oft lamented (and spoken of frequently) is the loss of the Rogue Squadron game franchise. The dogfighting/flight sim genre is perfectly suited for the space combat aspects of the Star Wars universe, yet it's been a long time since someone has tapped into that for gaming purposes (unless you count the new addition to The Old Republic). It seems that Disney is returning to that well, as they've announced registrations have started on the beta...

For this entry in my 'Reboot' series of articles, I decided to pull from one of my all time favorite genres. Aside from RTS games, the flying/dogfighting genre is top on my list. I can't tell you how many hours I've wasted flying around and blasting anything that happened across my virtual cross-hairs in various games. Today I'm talking about one of the best franchises in the genre: Star Fox.

I've mentioned a few times (just as recently as this morning actually) how much I love the LEGO video games, and their unique brand of humor and gameplay. Today brings us a great video featuring "gameplay" of what a LEGO adaptation of this year's amazing The Last of Us would look like. It's definitely not for kids...

They used to have a service called “Connect” that was built around serving the PSP, but it no longer exists. In its place is Music Unlimited, a service that is full of great ideas that fails to meet basic standards.

VGX was the new name of the Video Game Awards that Spike normally hosts annually to celebrate gaming. Spike, while a often dumbed down network, is one of the few networks to still host some video game coverage. However in terms of celebrating it every year, it’s often treated as something akin to a Frat party, despite offering some genuine thrills for gamers. VGX is without a doubt the worst attempt so far and it could possibly hurt gaming on...

Nintendo was on hand at this year's VGX and while their announcement wasn't a brand new game as many had hoped, it's still kind of exciting for those fans of Donkey Kong Country and old-school style platformers. If you haven’t already, head over to our PS4 review to see what we think of the console itself. In the review we mentioned the PS4 controller needed an article on its own because there are lots of improvements and things to be talked about. Well let’s just say, the controller is finally a step up for the Dualshock, but it has one major drawback.
