Frozen II (4K UHD)

It’s time to bring the latest Disney adventure home as Frozen II arrives on 4K Ultra HD and blu-ray this week. Is our return to Arendelle for its home entertainment release worth picking up? Find out my thoughts in our official review!

Yakuza Remastered Collection

Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 have finally been remastered for the PlayStation 4, as part of the Yakuza Remastered Collection. Thus, signifying the first time every single main Yakuza game in the franchise has been playable on current-gen systems. While we could spend hours upon hours discussing the depth of the entire Yakuza franchise, this review will focus specifically on the games within the Yakuza Remastered Collection.

The Hurt Locker (Digital 4K UHD)

The Hurt Locker has been released in 4K Ultra HD as a Digital-Only release! Here's our review!

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)

After a bad breakup with the Joker, Harley finds herself on her own in Gotham trying to make her way in a cruel city with a long history for chewing people up and spitting ‘em out. One of the big differences in this Harley and ‘Suicide Squad Harley’ is that she’s not portrayed as the Joker’s sexy but insane girlfriend. Christina Hodson(Bumblebee) writes Harley the way she should be, A wild and fun party girl, who just happens to have a Ph.D. in Psychology and doesn’t mind breaking every bone in your body to get what she wants. One of the problems Harley has to face is that when she was with Joker she pissed off a lot of people. Now that her puddin’ is no longer there to protect her those people want their revenge. Luckily for her, she meets a few ladies along the way that might be able to help her out of her current situation. Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), a police detective who learned how to be a cop watching 80’s cop shows. Helena Bertinelli aka The Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), trained assassin and only survivor of the Bertinelli crime family. Dinah Lance aka Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) part-time singer/all-time tough chick. Unlike Suicide Squad they don’t just throw Harley together with the Birds of Prey and it’s off to defeat evil. The common link that brings them all together is a little girl by the name of Cassandra Cain (Ella Jay Basco). She’s also a big part of the reason why the movies’ main villain Roman Sionis aka Black Mask (Ewan Mcgregor) wants them all dead.

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘The Hurt Locker’ Remains a Riveting, Devastating Look at War

A decade after it won Best Picture, “The Hurt Locker” still holds up as an authentic, unflinching look at the men who go to war, and how they deal with...

THE BOTTOM LINE: There’s Still a Little Magic in the Aging Comedy Duo

"Jay and Silent Bob Reboot" isn’t the comedy revelation you would hope for. It’s silly and obscene, but it misses as much as it hits. A lot of the jokes...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Judy’ soars on Zellweger’s masterful performance.

‘Judy' isn’t quite the comprehensive biopic you would hope for and it doesn’t pack the emotional punch it should have. However, Renee Zellweger is fantastic in the lead, and her...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Last Blood’ is a Disappointing End for an Iconic Hero

Rambo deserves far better than this by-the-numbers rush job of an actioner. It does little to evoke the themes or feel of previous films, and relies on disjointed, often gory...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Universal Soldier still kills it after all these years

Universal Soldier is hardly a classic, but it’s a lot of fun, and features both Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren at their best. Don’t take it too seriously, and...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Anna is serviceable, but isn’t quite unique

Anna will remind you of many other “female spy” films, including some of Luc Besson’s classics. That's not a bad thing at all. While it isn’t quite original, it is...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Daybreakers is a unique and entertaining entry in the vampire genre

It isn’t the definitive vampire film, but Daybreakers will surprise you with its approach. There are themes of conservationism and class warfare, but there is also plenty of blood and...

THE BOTTOM LINE: ‘Lock Up’ is 80s Stallone at his cliche-laden best

The plot is predictable, and you’ll get every prison-movie trope ever conceived, but Stallone somehow makes it all watchable. The 4K transfer shows significant improvement to the video over previous...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Stallone delivers one of the best action films in years

At a time when action films have become neutered, PG-13 shells of their former selves, Stallone delivers a brutal, brilliant film that reminds us what the genre can be. The...

THE BOTTOM LINE: Season Nine is a Welcome Return to Form

Season nine, in many ways, reclaims the fundamentals that made the series so great. Despite the loss of a number of leading actors, the season rarely disappoints. The video transfer...
