Cameras began rolling on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them back in August of this year, so filming is moving right along with director David Yates back at the helm. While we still haven’t see any images from the upcoming movie (yet), today brings us the official title treatment:
Sure, it’s just a logo, but it is pretty cool looking. It has a defnintive “Harry Potter” feel to it which helps tie it all together, while also being its own thing. What I find most interesting, aside from the cool dragon ‘S’, is the bit at the top: “From J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World”. This sets up the franchise potential, without bogging down the general title (think of how Twilight and Hunger Games have mangled their titles). We know WB is planning more spin-offs set in this world, and the heading at the top makes it clear how they’ll be marketed.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will hit theaters on November 18, 2016. What do you guys think of the logo?
