If you’re looking forward to the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts, which will return us to the Wizarding World crafted by J.K. Rowling, you likely don’t need anything else to get your excited. If you’re not entirely sold, then today’s final trailer for the film, should do much to get you off the fence. Either way it’s a great new look at the upcoming film:
I think what I like most about this trailer, is finally getting a sense of a deeper plot behind the “track these creatures down” story we’ve been seeing so far. Name drops of Grindelwald (who was the big bad evil wizard before Voldemort came on the scene) and teasing connections to villains in this flick go a long way. While I was already planning on checking this film out, today’s trailer made it seem more than just a fun movie, with something deeper behind it. What do you guys think?
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18, 2016.
