Last night's Golden Globes saw a lot of movies, shows, and actors get rewarded for their work, they weren't alone though. Viewers got to see the debut of a brand new TV spot for Beauty and the Beast that sees Emma Watson singing the iconic 'Belle' song while discovering the secrets of the castle. Take a look!
We're just a few short months away from Disney's live action Beauty and the Beast movie waltzing into theaters everywhere. As we gear up for that fateful day, tv spots and advertisements will be aplenty. Last night was no different. The new TV spot for Beauty and the Beast is expectedly short but holds a lot of interesting moments within.
First off, we get our introduction to Emma Watson's lovely rendition of the opening song "Belle", that just makes you want to chime in with, "Bonjour". Second, the opening of the movie seems to have a "The Sound of Music" feel to it, especially with Belle outside on the hill. Lastly, we got to see Chip!
However, what may be the most interesting new Beauty and the Beast content released is the movie poster!
What makes this so interesting? The fact that we're seeing the human forms of all the servants of the house! It may be because we already know the story or that most of the actors are too big not to have on the movie poster but Disney placed them front and center to be shown in every theater to promote the movie.
Call me a traditionalist, but I personally don't like it. While the servants of the house play an important part in Beauty and the Beast, there is a certain mystique about them until their big reveal, when the curse is broken. Showing them now feels like it takes away from that.
What do you think about the poster?
Beauty and the Beast invites you to be their guest on March 17, 2017!
