Last night at a screening of Hacksaw Ridge at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica, Mel Gibson confirmed rumors that he'd taken meetings with Warner Brothers to helm Suicide Squad 2.
"It's kinda a first date," Gibson said of the talks. I recorded the video below, the audio isn't great so turn it up, but the gist of it is that he has met with them and that he's intrigued by the characters.
All of this, of course coming on the heels of last night's frenzy in the trades that Gibson and DC have met and that he was their first choice for the job. Reports came from Justin Kroll of Variety, followed by Deadline, Tracking Board, and The Hollywood Reporter.
