This morning's poster brought the promise of a teaser trailer with it. Marvel made good on that promise during Game 4 of the NBA Finals! Check it out below!
Ever since T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) a.k.a. Black Panther burst onto the scene in Captain America: Civil War, fans have been clamoring for more. With the film coming out in February of next year, it was high time to give them what they want, a short teaser trailer!
Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king. But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.
This teaser is nuts. I love that Andy Serkis is narrating it. I was hoping he'd get a bigger role after Age of Ultron. The trailer also showed a lot of awesome choreography and scenic Wakandan views. Additionally, the musical tone of the trailer provided a lot of attitude that seems to be missing in a lot of Marvel movies. Suffice to say, I'm so ready for more! What do you think of it?
The film is directed by Ryan Coogler and stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, with Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
Black Panther releases February 16, 2018!
