This morning during the D23 Expo's live-action panel, Star Wars fans were treated to a great behind the scenes sizzle reel for The Last Jedi (showing off new creatures and looks at our beloved characters) along with a set of stunning character posters. Come inside to check it all out!
This morning's live-action panel at Disney's D23 Expo brought about some really good information, but what many were looking forward to most was another look at Star Wars: The Last Jedi. As expected, they released a behind-the-scenes "sizzle reel" showing off a slew of new creatures in the film, some great shots of our returning heroes/new cast, and general awesomeness. While we don't get much information in terms of story, it's still a great look at the next Star Wars adventure:
Sadly, we didn't get anything regarding the upcoming Han Solo movie, aside from a statement saying they're committed to keeping the Summer 2018 release date. It's not terribly surprising, considering the big director shake-up and Ron Howard only having worked on the film for a couple weeks now. With the film less than 10 months away, however, and with the negative attention you'd think they would want to put something cool out there.
Alas, hopefully we'll see something soon, including the title, but for now we get more The Last Jedi goodness. On top of the new video, we got a handful of really impressive character posters:
They're sleekly designed, using the red theme to dramatic effect and are way more interesting to me than The Force Awakens character posters we got a couple years ago. I'm definitely digging the poster art we've seen this time around. In just a month and a half Force Friday II is going down, unleashing the toys for the film and thus the major marketing will definitely kick in, so the wait for more The Last Jedi goodness is almost over.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters on December 15, 2017.
