The fourth film in the Insidious franchise is set to arrive in theaters early next year, but today eager horror fans can get their first look at the film thanks to a trailer, while also getting an official title. Come inside to check it out!
Horror movie sequels are a dime a dozen, but the Insidious films have been among the few to remain consistently interesting. While the third film was a bit weaker than the others, it set up some interesting lore aspects that kept things fresh. The first trailer for the fourth film looks to really expand on the mythos element behind the series' mainstay, Dr. Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye):
There are a few scares here, but frankly, The Last Key looks to be more of a monster/creature movie than the ghost horror film the previous films were...And I'm not sure what to think about that. I'm interested to see what this new demon has to going on and what the bigger connection to the story will be. What do you guys think?
The creative minds behind the hit Insidious trilogy return for Insidious: The Last Key. In the supernatural thriller, which welcomes back franchise standout Lin Shaye as Dr. Elise Rainier, the brilliant parapsychologist faces her most fearsome and personal haunting yet: in her own family home.
Insidious: The Last Key arrives in theaters on January 5, 2018.
