Well, it looks like we have a new trailer for the horror movie from the Screenwriter that brought us “The Orphanage,” the title is Marrowbone directed by Sergio G. Sánchez.
Gathering together a cast including The VVitch’s Anya Taylor-Joy, Stranger Things’ Charlie Heaton, horror movie officianado Sergio G. Sánchez gives us his latest movie for the horror genre, Marrowbone.
“Four siblings seek refuge in an old home after the death of their mother, only to discover that the house has another, more sinister, inhabitant, in this haunting directorial debut from Sergio G. Sánchez, screenwriter of The Orphanage and The Impossible.”
Personally, it seems to follow the basic formula of a horror movie, take a group of people out in the middle of nowhere, leave their motives somewhat mysterious, and, as we all know, nothing is quite as creepy as a child in said horror movie. It could indeed be an interesting romp of a horror experience, but the trailer was rather underwhelming keeping in trade with cliché rather than innovation. I am anxious to be proven wrong.
Marrowbone releases in theaters April 13, 2018!
