With nine months to go before its release, today brings about the official logo for The LEGO Movie sequel, giving eager fans a formal (albeit unsurprising) title.
It's crazy to think that it's been over four years since The LEGO Movie hit theaters and surprised everyone with a touching, and hilarious animated adventure. Despite getting a sequel ordered/announced soon after it's release, we've managed to get two spin-off films (LEGO Batman and Ninjago) before even knowing the title of the sequel! Thanks to the franchise's official Twitter account, we at least have a swanky logo to enjoy:
The title, obviously, doesn't give much information on the story, though we already know it's set four years after the first film and will introduce Emmett's sister. It's a tongue-in-cheek jab at typical sequel titles, but it's still great to finally see something related to the film.
With it set to launch in February, the time for marketing to kick in is narrowing and we should be getting more details (probably a trailer around SDCC this Summer) before too long.
The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part will arrive on February 9, 2019.
