The first trailer for the new take on Stephen King's classic, Pet Sematary, has arrived to offer a chilling reminder that sometimes, dead is better. Come inside to check it out!
After getting some new images and a foreboding poster, this morning brings horror fans their first look at the new Pet Sematary...and it's pretty good.
While I remarked yesterday (with the images) about how similar the new film looked to the original, this trailer definitely shows the different approach the new film is taking. We've got some seriously creepy kids doing rituals in the woods, dark figures and other entities terrorizing inside the house, and all the usual stuff you'd expect. All in all, it serves to step up the creepy factor to another level. What did you think of the Pet Sematary trailer?
Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.
Pet Sematary hits theaters on April 5, 2019.
