With just a little under a year until the Legend of Tarzan swings into theaters, Warner Bros. has decided to give us a taste of David Yates’ version of an old favorite. Take a look.
When it was first announced that Alexander Skarsgard would be our loin cloth apparelled hero, suffice it to say but, we were a little confused. However, seeing the way he looks in these images has, at least, convinced me that he can pull off this role. Alongside Skarsgard is none other than the usually blonde shining star Margot Robbie. With her now amber locks and tattered clothing, she seems to have embraced her inner Jane.
Of course all this is heresay as there isn’t even a trailer out for it yet. However, we imagine that if they’ve already released these pictures then a trailer should be on its way.
In The Legend of Tarzan, it has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
Samuel L. Jackson and Djimon Honsou also have roles in this film.
The Legend of Tarzan will be in theaters July 1, 2016
