14 years ago, Nickelodeon put the kabosh on the Invader Zim animated series. Since then, the series has collected a cult following, causing the long-running children’s channel to bring back our beloved Zim & co. for another go, this time with their own movie! At SDCC 2018, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus became the highlight of the Nickelodeon panel, which brought back all of the originals from the animated show Richard Horvitz (ZIM), Rikki Simons (GIR), Wally Wingert (Almighty Tallest Red) and Kevin McDonald (Almighty Tallest Purple), and INVADER ZIM: Enter the Florpus art director Jenny Goldberg. In addition to seeing them together again, in real life, Nickelodeon also unveiled the highly-anticipated teaser trailer that doesn’t need words to love!
In INVADER ZIM: Enter The Florpus, ZIM discovers his almighty leaders have no intention of coming to Earth and he loses confidence in his own amazingness for the first time in his amazing life, which is the big break his human nemesis Dib has been waiting for. At some point, GIR rides a tiny donkey, and that’s all anyone should really care about.
When talking about Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, series creator Jhonen Vasquez had this to say,
“ZIM’s plot to return to TV has become a success with Enter the Florpus, It’s exciting to give fans an early sneak peek of the movie and I hope they enjoy it and I’m definitely Jhonen Vasquez and not just someone making up a quote for him!”
There is no official release date set for Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus.
