With Justice League just 4 months from releasing in theaters, the cast of the film came together during Warner Bros.‘ Hall H slot to talk about the movie and show off a snazzy new trailer! Check it out and we’ll discuss after.
I’ll begin by stating what may be an unpopular opinion. This trailer makes me believe that DC and WB have finally put the DCEU on course. With the success of Wonder Woman and today’s trailer, I am starting to see the big picture of what they’ve been trying to create with this universe.
Getting into the trailer, itself, I love what they did with Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds), having him attack Themyscira and the individual worlds of each hero. I think it’s a cool concept and a great way of introducing Atlantis. Additionally, the chemistry looks to be right on point. Ezra Miller‘s Flash is quirky and Jason Momoa‘s Aquaman is blunt. Together they help bring levity to the brooding and serious Batman (Ben Affleck), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).
What I liked most about this trailer, though, is how they focused on the villain, the other characters and the intrigue of a possible Superman (Henry Cavill) revival, not just Batman. With Ben Affleck seemingly about to remove the cowl, it’s a good way to introduce the others who will have to hold up this franchise.
Justice League releases in theaters November 17, 2017!
