Fans of the popular Castlevania series on Netflix received some welcome news when word broke that Netflix has renewed the popular animated series for a third season.
Castlevania is based on the 1989 video game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse and has been a major hit ever since the first season released in 2017 with four episodes. The series follows Trevor Belmont (Richard Armitage), a scion of a legendary monster hunter family, as he takes on a vengeful Dracula (Graham McTavish), who has vowed to kill every last human in Wallachia after his human wife is burned at the stake.
Season 2 premiered in October 2018 with eight episodes, and it’s now been revealed that Season 3 will be the longest season yet, with ten full episodes allocated to it. It’s not clear when the new season will release on Netflix, but given the glowing reviews that have followed the first two seasons, it will definitely be exciting to see where a third season takes the story of Trevor Belmont and Dracula.
Seasons 1 and 2 of Castlevania are currently streaming on Netflix.
