Geek Pick of the Week: Pokémon Waffle Maker

As the Holiday season approaches, we’re bringing back our Geek Pick of the Week. Each week leading up to Christmas, we’ll be highlighting a cool product we’ve found that we feel would be the perfect gift for geeks of all kinds. Use these to help fill in your own wish list or find the perfect gift for the nerds in your life.

If you’re on the hunt for a gift for the Pokémon fan in your life, but don’t want to merely snag the newest game (though it’s probably a safe bet), ThinkGeek has you covered. I’m a big collector (not necessarily of Pokémon) and one of my all time favorite items to track down are kitchen accessories. Whether it’s plates, utensils, or even appliances, I love finding those kind of collectibles.

It’s a unique and fun way to display a fandom that can be integrated into your home in a more natural way; as opposed to having a bunch of toys hanging on the wall (which I also have). If you feel similarly, or simply want to find a different gift for your nerdy friend, this newly announced Poké Ball Waffle Maker might be exactly what you need.

Poke Waffle

Makes waffles that are just shy of 7″ diameter and look like a Poké Ball

Non-stick cooking plates duplicate the design on both sides

Try filling the top half of the plate with batter tinted red

Indicators light up when iron is on and when it is at correct temperature

Materials: BPA-free housing and cast aluminum cooking plates

This waffle maker is available starting today, and you can snag one directly from ThinkGeek by following the link
