The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta has begun today exclusively to PS4 due to a new deal between Sony and Activision. The beta on PS4 will run from today until August 23. Xbox One players and PC players will get their chance starting August 26 until August 30. The beta will not happeon on Xbox 360 or PS3.
If you want for sure access to either groups then you can pre-order the game and get a code. There are other outlets such as contests. I may suggest pre-ordering at Amazon if you insist on not paying 5 dollars up front.
The beta includes three maps and 7 game modes, but Treyarch keeps stressing that 7 is the minimum, so we may see more before the beta ends.
“We have poured our heart and soul into making Black Ops III, pushing ourselves to develop the deepest and richest experience we could for Call of Duty® players. We can’t wait for the fans to get their hands-on multiplayer so they can provide us with the type of feedback at scale to ensure we deliver the best experience we can come November,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch. “With the new precision fluid movement system, the introduction of Specialists and an all-new weapon customization system, there’s a ton of multiplayer content in the beta and that’s just scratching the surface.”
The beta also includes two new specialists in addition to the six already revealed. These classes provide a special perk for the player that slightly changes the play style for you. New gameplay mechanics include a swift burst style movement which is a little more restricted than Advanced Warfare and plenty of new weapons and gadgets. Customization is also fully operational in the beta.
As part of the new deal between Sony and Activision all future DLC will also come first to PlayStation platforms before heading elsewhere.
