Activision and Infinity Ward have announced that on August 1st they will reveal the multiplayer mode for Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® and I have to say I am shaking with anticipation.
During E3 2019, I learned that MW was not only pushing the bounders with its single player, but with its multiplayer well. The rumors were correct that the company would be supporting cross-play across all platforms and that they would be no longer having a season pass.
Yes, this is huge news for fans of Call of Duty…but it also shows that Activision is invested in keeping their fans around with any means necessary. With the industry changing, companies like Activision have to change with the times and try to make things better but cheaper for fans.
Though we have to wait till August 1st to see the full multiplayer reveal, Activision invited some streamers to come and play the new 2 vs. 2 Gunfight mode. I am not always a fan of new modes coming into COD just cause it a new version of the games…but man does it look like something very interesting! You can watch the gameplay below and also get a bit more info about the upcoming release.
Tune-in August 1st to Twitch.tv/CallofDuty for the full reveal of the Modern Warfare Multiplayer Universe and deep look at gameplay coming to fans at launch. In the meantime, fans can follow latest information on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s multiplayer on @CallofDuty and @
InfinityWard on Twitter, Instagram and Faceboo k.
