A few weeks ago, the competitors of the United Gaming Federation battled it out in a swift and destructive Dragon Ball FighterZ tournament that saw former champion LLP pull off the upset, against tournament favorite LA, to earn a shot at the Cinelinx UGF Championship. Afterward, current champion, the self-proclaimed “Gamer Main Eventer” Michael Anthony Shafer was taken to the limit against Quad C, but was able to survive long enough to escape the match still champion.
This Friday, the rematch you’ve been waiting to see will take place on the battlefield of All-Con, as LLP looks reclaim the title that Michael Anthony Shafer took from him in a game of Dragon Ball FighterZ!
Before that, a new #1 contender will be named when 8 warriors compete in the classic Gamecube game, Super Smash Bros. Melee! Take a look at the bracket:
The rules for the tournament are as follows:
- Each game will be the length of 3 minutes
- Whoever wins at the end of 3 minutes moves on the next round
- Any character and arena can be used
The last gamer standing will be crowned #1 contender and will face the winner of LLP vs Shafer in April!
UGF Presents: Super Smash Bros. Melee takes place this Friday, March 16, at 11:59pm inside the Mayfair room on the 1st floor of the InterContinental Hotel in Addison. Tickets are still available to attend All-Con 2018 and can be purchased here.
If you can’t make it, this episode will air on the Cinelinx YouTube page next Saturday (March 24).
Show up, cheer on your favorite players, and you could walk away with a prize!
