At long last, Square Enix has finally revealed their first look at the Marvel’s Avengers game from Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest. Check it out and read up on tons of new information here!
A few years ago, Square Enix announced a partnership with Marvel to create an Avengers game that would do their on-screen counterpart justice. After many, many months waiting, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix took the stage during the Square Enix Live E3 2019 Presentation and revealed way more than we ever thought possible.
Marvel’s Avengers begins at A-Day, where Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Thor are unveiling a hi-tech Avengers Headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by an experimental energy source. The celebration turns deadly when a catastrophic accident results in massive devastation. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
Marvel’s Avengers will be playable as both a cinematic storytelling single-player game and up to 4-player co-op. In 4-player co-op, you’ll be able to customize Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to take on every threat that comes your way in regularly updated missions and quests. The added bonus is that all of those updates and DLC will be absolutely FREE, with no loot boxes or pay-to-win features.
Marvel’s Avengers features an all-star cast of Nolan North as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Troy Baker as Bruce Banner (The Hulk), Jeff Schine as Steve Rogers (Captain America), Travis Willingham as Thor, and Laura Bailey as Natasha Romanov (Black Widow.
