This evening, during a special concert, Square Enix revealed a brand new trailer for the Final Fantasy VII Remake which included a release date!
It’s an E3 surprise! While we were expecting more Final Fantasy VII Remake news tomorrow during Square Enix’s press conference, they surprised eager fans tonight during the Final Fantasy VII: A Symphonic Reunion orchestra concert with a new trailer. More than just a great new trailer, however, the big news here is that it ended with an actual release date!
Final Fantasy VII will launch on the PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020. That’s just nine short months away, which is crazy considering how long it seems we’ve been waiting for this game. Square promises that even more information on the game is coming tomorrow during their conference, so be sure to keep it tuned here for all the details.
Rebuilding and expanding upon the legendary RPG for today, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE tells the story of a world fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic adventures that await him.
