If Final Fantasy XV is anything like this trailer, we are in for an intense, trippy experience. The Omen trailer was developed by DIGIC Pictures, responsible for making the Kingsglaive movie. If you’re as confused as I was, it’s ok. Omen is simply a premonition Noctis’ father, King Regis, is having that tells of a catastrophe that must be avoided. It does create a lot of intrigue for the highly anticipated game.
Now that the game is almost out, Square Enix is trying to sell people on purchasing their Season Pass ($24.99) by announcing all the content that will go along with it! Check it out below:
The main focus of the Season Pass is three original episodes that take place during the events of FINAL FANTASY XV. Each episode allows players to take control of one of Noctis’ comrades in all-new adventures that offer unique play styles tailored to each character. Players can explore previously unseen areas filled with new monsters, and even obtain weapons that can later be used in the main game. Episode Gladiolus is the first new character adventure to arrive, and will be followed by Episode Ignis and Episode Prompto. Each episode will be available for purchase individually.
Following the release of the character episodes, Comrades—an expansion pack for FINAL FANTASY XV—will introduce a brand-new online co-op mode for up to four players which features intense battles allowing players to take full control of Noctis, Gladio, Prompto and Ignis as a group. Comrades will be available for separate purchase, and is also included in the Season Pass.
Being able to play in episodes that follow specific characters is a pretty cool feature. If you haven’t watched Brotherhood on youtube. It’ll be a good way for gamers to get to know these characters and play with their abilities. As for Comrades, it’s the first, non-online FF version, that will have co-op functionality. It’s a pretty cool way of adding a multiplayer aspect to Final Fantasy.
Final Fantasy XV will finally arrive November 29, 2016!
