Respawn has developed a brand new Medal of Honor title that lets you see through the eyes of WWII soldiers. This is Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond and it’s being built for Oculus Rift.
For quite some time now, Respawn and Electronic Arts have wanted to allow gamers to capture that feeling of being in a war zone. So, they approached Oculus from Facebook and developed a game that they believe encompasses that vision. Their game is called Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond and it allows you to become an agent in the OSS.
The game, which is being built for Oculus Rift from the ground up by a team comprised of veteran developers of the series, will put players in the role of an agent in the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). Players will go behind enemy lines to sabotage Nazi facilities, subvert enemy plans, and aid the French Resistance. Players will also experience a rich, exciting single-player campaign that takes them through historic events on land, air, and sea, all in virtual reality.
Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond will release in Summer 2020 and will include multiplayer modes and other features not shown today. It’s a very fascinating step forward for the Medal of Honor brand. Owners of the Oculus Rift will have the exclusive pleasure of experiencing it next Summer.
