A new crop of Digi-Destined are about to take part in a new adventure! Meet them in the well-produced full opening movie for Digimon Survive.
Anime Expo 2019 was ground zero for everything Digimon, as Bandai Namco hosted a “The Future of Digimon” panel. The panel consisted of Toei Animation Movie Producer Yosuke Kinoshita and Bandai Namco Game Producer Kazumasa Habu.
The first portion of the panel focused on the latest Digimon movie, Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna, while the latter part gave us more insight on the upcoming game, Digimon Survive. Where Digimon Adventure focused on the characters we met in the first Digimon series, Survive revolved around a bevy of new characters.
You can meet the latest Digi-Destined in the full opening movie for Digimon Survive, below:
Join Takuma, Agumon, and a plethora of new characters and Digimon as you craft your story, make life-changing decisions, and fight your way back home in Digimon Survive.
This is a fascinating opener to a relatively unknown game. There are several eclectic characters and an interesting story to follow. I may be spoiled by Ni No Kuni, but the only bummer is that the rest of the game isn’t expected to look like this.
Digimon Survive is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via STEAM in 2020.
In addition to releasing new trailer for Digimon Adventure and opening movie for Digimon Survive, the panel also announced that Digimon Story: Cybersleuth The Complete Edition would be porting to Nintendo Switch and PC on October 18, 2019. Habu also confirmed that a sequel to Digimon Story was also in the works, though it would be in an entirely new setting.
