The time has almost arrived! Spyro: Reignited Trilogy is almost at hand and, with that realization, plenty of the Spyro faithful are impatiently waiting to sprint down this revitalized memory lane, Toys for Bob has created. Before we get too swept away with playing the long-awaited trilogy, again, Activision and Toys for Bob have unveiled never-before-seen concept art for Spyro and the various dragons in Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. The release of this artwork honors the hard-working art department and their vision to make these once one-note characters into memorable stalwarts in Spyro’s epic journey!
Below is the unbelievable concept art for Spyro: Reignited Trilogy!
One of the biggest takeaways from my time with Spyro: Reignited Trilogy at E3 2018 was that the Dragons were so unique and charismatic now. Back in the day, when Insomniac first released Spyro the Dragon, the Dragons were important to the story, for sure, but they didn’t really have their own style and personality. They merely served to push the story along and create something else to search and collect. Building up the personalities of these dragons became a focal point for Toys for Bob when they sought to reignite the trilogy. From what footage we’ve seen and the various concept art above, mission accomplished.
Additionally, Activision also shared some stunning new screenshots of Dino Mines and Fireworks Factory to further raise our excitement!
