These are two very different games, but they both got release dates so I’m lumping them into the one news post.  First up, Spacecom (which we’ve previewed here and given away beta codes for) is set to release on PCs on September 17, 2014.  It’s a great little strategy title and something I look forward to playing on a more expanded level:

11 bit launchpad – publishing platform of 11 bit studios (Anomaly series, This War of Mine) – is pleased to announce that its first game, SPACECOM, will make its debut on September 17th.

The game will be sold through various digital vendors, including STEAM, Games Republic and more. It will be available for PC, Mac OS and Linux platforms on the day of release, with six language versions (Polish, English, Russian, French, German, Spanish). Price for the game has been set at $14.99, but – as the game was made with multiplayer in mind – you can expect several bundles available (50% discount for 2nd copy and buy 3 – get 1 for free) in particular stores.

In the meantime, the SPACECOM Multiplayer Tournament has launched its 2nd season. All people willing to participate will earn a chance to win Alienware PC, NVIDIA Graphic Cards, Razer gaming equipment and GOODRAM parts. Visit www.spacecom-tournament.com to learn about the details.

Next up is Project CARS.  This gorgeous looking racing game has been blowing gamers away since it was first revealed, and now, we finally know when we’ll be able to get our hands on it: November 18, 2014.  Though if you’re waiting to buy the game on the Wii U, you’ll have to wait until sometime in 2015 for that to happen.

BANDAI NAMCO Games America Inc. and Slightly Mad Studios today can confirm that Project CARS will ship on November 18, 2014 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC across the Americas.  Project CARS for the Wii U™ system will be available in 2015

Project CARS is the most authentic, beautiful, intense and technically-advanced racing game on the planet.  Guided, tested and approved by a passionate community of racing fans and real-life drivers, Project CARS represents the next-generation of racing simulation.  Featuring a variety of motorsport and unprecedented track roster as well as a sandbox career mode, Project CARS leaves the competition behind in the dust.

Customers who pre-order Project CARS from participating retailers will be able to get instant access to the Modified Car Pack, which includes the following vehicles.  Please see http://www.projectcarsgame.com for more details:

·         Ruf CTR3 SMS-R – A race spec version of the already impressive Ruf CTR3 super sports car created by the talented engineers at veteran developer Slightly Mad Studios.  This modified version produces over 750 horsepower and a staggering 330 km/h top speed making it a truly unique combination of technical excellence and aesthetic passion.

·         Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster – An open-top hyper car with a monstrous top speed, racecar levels of downforce, and extravagant beauty to match its multi-million dollar price tag.

·         Ariel Atom 3 Mugen – Instantly recognizable with its exposed red chassis and white bodywork while underneath the hood a tuned Honda Type R engine gets it from 0-60 in just 2.9 seconds.

Are you planning on picking up either of these games?  Which are you looking forward to playing most?
