THQ Nordic announced via Twitter on Wednesday that the Battle for Bikini Bottom is being remastered for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated is being faithfully remade from the game of the same name (sans Rehydrated) that launched on the Gamecube, Gameboy Advance, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Windows PC in 2003, and THQ Nordic announced in the description of the announcement trailer that the game will include a brand new multiplayer mode.
“Are you ready, kids? The cult classic is back, faithfully remade in spongetastic splendor! Play as SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy and show the evil Plankton that crime pays even less than Mr. Krabs. Want to save Bikini Bottom from lots of rampant robots? Of course you do! Want to underpants bungee jump? Why wouldn’t you! Want to join forces in a brand new multiplayer mode? The battle is on!”

This is the first in a series of game reveals that THQ Nordic announced on June 4. The next two titles will be coming tomorrow and on Friday as the company tries to ride that Pre-E3 hype train.
Three games, three days. Because the best things come in threes. Stay tuned.
