Traditional games set in the Dragon Ball universe have been of the fighting variety. That’s to be expected, as the source material is all about martial arts. However, Bandai Namco has come out with a new way to play within the Dragon Ball universe and it involves cards.
The next chapter of the long line of Dragon Ball games releases today on Nintendo Switch and Steam in the West and it’s called Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission. See it in action in the launch trailer…
SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION takes place in Hero Town, an alternate reality where a Dragon Ball card game is the most popular form of entertainment that’s played both at amateur and professional levels. Players take the role as Beat – the protagonist of SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION – and follow his journey to become the world champion of Super Dragon Ball Heroes. However, when antagonists from the virtual game world appear in Hero Town and start wreaking havoc, Beat jumps into the game world to team up with famous Dragon Ball characters in order to restore peace and tranquility in the real world.
