Over the years we have seen a lot of changes to the Call of Duty franchise. For the most part it has always been for the best of the series, but this year, fans weren’tto happy with the news. This October, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 be like none other and will not feature and single player campaign. Although this news was met with a lot of negative feedback from the community, I still think this will be a great entry in the Call of Duty saga. That being said, in celebration of SDCC this week, Activision and Treyarch have release a new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombie trailer!
This trailer features Scarlett Rhodes, one of the lead zombie characters,as she tries to find out more about her fathers disappearance and discover a mysterious powerful relic that could destroy the world as we know it. It also has to be noted that Scarlett speaks about not seeing her father for 15 years. Does this mean her father might be one of the original zombie killing team members? Or, will he be be a completely new addition to the Zombie mode?
One of the most exciting things about this trailer is seeing the transition between Voyage of Despair and IX. Although we didnt see any Blood of the Dead gameplay, we cant wait to see the never before seen gameplay coming out of SDCC! During SDCC 2018, Treyarch’s Jason Blundell (director, Zombies) and Craig Houston (lead writer) will show new gameplay from Black Ops 4 Zombies and discuss what is coming next to the Call of Duty Zombie Saga! If you are headed to Comic Con this week, make sure to head over to Room 6BCF on Thursday at 1pm for a chance to see the new gameplay!
Overall, I think we can all admit that it is a weird year for Call of Duty. . .but this is a good thing. Shake ups like this can be a great thing for any game franchise, we will just have to wait till August to see if the game meets our expectations or falls flat on the battlefield. Check out the trailer below and check back here soon for more news on this game and beta gameplay!
