Over the last few years, Overwatch has taken the world by storm. It has done so with an addictive gameplay format, fascinating short-stories only Blizzard can tell, frequent new content, their own Overwatch Esports League, and collectibles. Blizzard has introduced a new incredible collectible that should be in everyone’s collection, Genji’s Sword.
“Life and death balance on the edge of my blade.” The death of his father nearly resulted in his own. Transformed into a living weapon by Overwatch, Genji set about the task of dismantling his family’s criminal empire. After his mission was completed, he abandoned Overwatch to wander the world. Even he cannot say where his path will lead.
Pre-Ordering for Overwatch Genji Sword is now available, but it does come at a significant cost. For $200, you can own this life-size replica that Blizzard clearly states “Is Not A Toy”. Although, it lights up and has motion-based sound effects, kind of like most Star Wars Lightsabers, which may confuse younger children into thinking it’s a toy. Nevertheless, this $200 investment has a lot to offer any collector, both technically and emotionally. See below for a full breakdown of the specs.
Comes with 1 Ultimate Genji Sword, 1 sword sheathe and 1 stand. Sword contains off/on switch to enable light-up features and creates sound upon motion activation. Button on sword handle triggers authentic SFC based on Genji’s Ultimate ability.
Sword measures 48″ x 5″ with 1/2″ blade. The stand measures 20″ x 10.5″ x 6.25″. Made of PVC, ABS, alloy and electronic chips.
The sword weighs 2.9lbs/1320g, the sheathe weighs .8/lbs350g and the stand weighs 1lb/468g.
Includes 3 AA batteries (1.5V). For ages 15+, this is not a toy.
The Overwatch Genji Sword is available for Pre-Order now and ships in December.
