BioShock: Infinite will not incorporate multiplayer gameplay.
It’s been a true case of will it/won’t it regarding Irrational Games decision to include multiplayer in the upcoming BioShock. Creative Director Ken Levine took to Twitter at the weekend to confirm what we now we know for sure: Infinite will not incorporate a multiplayer mode.
The inclusion of the quite frankly lacklustre multiplayer content in predecessor BioShock 2, means that this latest news isn’t necessarily a bad thing – all efforts will now be focussed on the single player campaign. The fact the original (and arguably best) BioShock did not include multiplayer at all certainly suggests it is a feature the series doesn’t have to rely on.
Still pencilled for a February release next year, this continues to be one of the most anticipated games of 2013.
