Your ISP Doesn’t Want You To Have Better Internet Access

You may have heard that Google Fiber is a super fast internet connection, and above all else it is cheap. Yet that isn’t the only leading edge internet provider trying to cover ground. Similar to the “lottery style” Google is implementing to expand their service, there are several government runned projects also in the works. Turns out your ISP is constantly trying to prevent both from happening.

There are many ways that internet service providers (ISP’s) are attempting to block out competition. The first being a zoning route where a certain ISP will “zone” a neighborhood or in some cases a city and not allow any other providers to come into the area. Another route, one we want to talk about here, is simply the ISP’s trying to play the law books to prevent expansion.
