Some un-released thoughts have been running amuck my headspace, and a recent re-watch of Spring Breakers pulled the trigger. Probably three films you never thought you'd see in the same corner, Spring Breakers, American Sniper, and a 'dash' of Inherent Vice, are the films I chose to defend. Whoever said that there’s no such thing as bad press knew what they were talking about. Despite the dismal reviews for the new film the Interview, the comedy about an attempt to assassinate Kim Jong-un hauled in $15 from online sales in a few days. The movie had very little buzz and low expectations before the controversy began. This proves that the best thing you can do to help a film is try to stop it.
Not many people know that James Franco has a cameo appearance in director Matt Reeves’ upcoming Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. James Franco was one of the people who were unaware of this fact. Franco was surprised by the news that his character from the first film, Will Rodman, has a “posthumous cameo via video".
This Is The End has the misfortune of being one of the triad of Apocalypse based comedies to be released this year in theaters. It tries to set itself apart from the other two with crude humor and a cast of well known actors making fun of themselves. On those two fronts, the film is a success.

Oz the Great and Powerful arrived in theaters to mixed reviews from critics and a B+ Cinemascore from audiences. It managed to more than make back its production cost and will be followed up by the inevitable sequel. Sam Raimi's prequel to the 1939 classic now hits Blu-ray and DVD, giving audiences either another chance to see it for the first time or give it a second look in the comfort of their own homes.
