It was announced earlier this week that the King of the Seas is getting his own film, starring Jason Momoa, in 2018. Aquaman will not be alone in coming to the big screen alone. He’ll be bringing some friends and foes from under the sea with him.
The upcoming Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice keeps adding comic characters to its roster. The latest addition to the film is Aquaman, who will be played by Jason Momoa.
I'd start this review off with a strong "Sylvester Stallone is back," but it's just not true. He's very much been in the limelight recently. The 67-year old actor won't be held down by his age. After a 3-year hiatus back in 2003, he returned to the ring by acting in and directing Rocky Balboa. Not content to just re-visit one of his most well-known characters, Stallone also put the headband back on for a fourth helping of First Blood in Rambo.
TMP takes a look at Conan the Barbarian, a remake that isn’t so much a remake as it is a re-imagining of a well known cult classic. It’s a film that basically gives you what you expect which is mainly sex, swords and sorcery. It also delivers a new Conan, different in many ways from the old Conan, a new spin on a familiar story, and the opportunity for sequels in the future.
When I was a kid there was one word that had the power to transport me to another time when swords, barbarians and evil kings ruled the world, and a valor-loving Crom was the god of all. That one word was Conan. Now this hit classic from 1982 that made Arnold a megastar is being remade and Jason Momoa is set to become Conan the Barbarian for this new millennium.
