November's fatherly comedy sequel, Daddy's Home 2, has set their Blu-Ray and Digital release dates for February, but it's looking like Digital will be the way to go for those who can't wait to watch it.
The 2015 hit Daddy's Home fared quite well when it ran up to Star Wars Episode VII. So well that a sequel is on its way. Now it looks like 2 rather odd picks are being eye'd for significant roles.
The director of Lone Survivor, Peter Berg, is giving us another film based on a true story. This time it's the story of the workers on Deepwater Horizon. Check out the first trailer.
Michael Bay is slowly finishing post production on his next feature, Pain and Gain, which can only mean one thing—a new Transformers movie will soon be upon us. Set to come out in Summer 2014, Transformers 4 will be a mini-reboot of sorts for the series, as a new cast of characters will be introduced to replace Shia LaBeof and his hot girlfriend. And it seems the hot girlfriend role has been filled by none other than Michael Bay's Pain and Gain star Mark Wahlberg!
In general, I would say I'm a pretty big fan of Seth MacFarlane. Well I agree with the consensus at this point that Family Guy is a god awful show, that wasn't always the case; there was once a time when Family Guy was clever, funny, and an overall great show. And even if that one has fallen off the rails lately, I don't really blame MacFarlane for it (rumor has it that even he agrees that the show should have ended years ago). He's still a terrific talent, with one of the best and most versatile voices in Hollywood. So with all this in mind, I went in to Ted with a lot of hope that the film would be good or, at the very least, a good time. Instead, I discovered one of my first big disappointment of Summer 2012.
