The Thing Review: Faithful Prequel Is Everything You Could Hope For

While remakes, re-imaginings, and prequels to older films are generally regarded by the mainstream public to be anything from greedy filmmaker missteps to outright cinematic sacrilege, I was for one thrilled to hear about a prequel to John Carpenter's 1982 horror classic The Thing being developed.  Several years later, horror fans can now rejoice as Carpenter's horrific, shape-shifting monstrosity has finally returned in all it's terrifying glory.

Damn, look at all the posters!  It started with the first posters for Sherlock Holmes 2 but, in a mere 24 hours, things just kind of went crazy!  Rather than take the time to right up separate pieces for each poster, we thought it would be easier just to combine them into one easy to read article.  But just to let you know, The Dark Knight Rises poster won't be until the end.  It would make all the other posters look pathetic in comparison if I put it at the top.  Anyways, check out posters for Sherlock, Hugo, Muppets, and more after the jump.
