A few months ago we heard reports that Warner Bros. was looking to hire on Guy Ritchie to helm a new take on the King Arthur story that they were hoping to turn into a tentpole style franchise. While there's no real word on that just yet, WB has officially set a release date for the first movie (with Ritchie at the helm) in 2016.
Green Lantern for some odd reason is being considered a box office failure, however WB is still planning to have him return to the big screen. I guess the positive fan feedback outweighed everything else? Or perhaps WB's new ideas the the second movie are so awesome that passing it up will be a crime?
When sequels to big movies gets close, one of my favorite things to do, is watch the original(s) before going to see the newest entry into a franchise. It's just an easy way to immerse oneself back into the universe of that particular story and series, besides which it's also a good excuse for a fun movie marathon. Either way, I know I'm not the only film lover who thinks the same, and so does Warner Bros. That's why they're offering fans the option to watch all of the Harry Potter movies in any form they find the most convenient.
It's always nice to get good deals, and being a huge blu-ray fan I'm almost always on the look out for them. Unfortunately many blu-rays when they come out are just too darned expensive. It's hard to justify when a the DVD version is typically cheaper. Well Warner Bros. is apparently looking to change that attitude and wants to encourage more people into filling out their blu-ray collections and getting rid of those archaic DVD discs. They've made some big changes to their DVD2Blu exchange program, allowing you to turn in any old DVD for a WB blu-ray instead for a ridiculously good price.
