They join an underground community of mutants who have to fight to survive. The show also stars Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Coby Bell, Emma Dumont, and Blair Redford.
Earlier this week we given a teaser trailer and announcement of a full trailer, which FOX has now released check it out below.
The action-adventure drama features characters from the X-Men comic book franchise and comes from 20th Century Fox TV in association with Marvel TV. It was immediately picked up to series after the pilot was filmed. Along with writing the pilot, Nix executive produces The Gifted alongside Singer, who brings with him his X-Men Film Franchise heavy hitters Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg. Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are also on board as executive producers.
The series will have small connections and nods to the Film Universe, not unlike Agents of SHIELD and the MCU, yet not as direct. We see our first hint of that in this trailer with the line "The X-Men, the Brotherhood, we don't even now if they still exist anymore!" While it seems direct, Donner has said that the Film Universe world will not worry about what the television world creates, they will be alike in the fact that their are mutants, and they are hated. The X-Men will not be in it, but we will see sentinels that will chase down this one group of Mutants on the run.
