Could the iconic Mike Judge/Greg Daniels animated series, King of the Hill, be revived for another season on Fox? Fox seems open to it! More details below!
Boy, I tell you what. This may be the best dang news you got all day.
The show about Strickland Propane's most dedicated Propane and Propane Accessories salesman and the cooky residents of the fictional Arlen, TX may be making a comeback on Fox! Fox Chairman and CEO Dana Walden spoke to reporters today and said that the Mike Judge/Greg Daniels series, King of the Hill, could be revived, emphasis on the could.
“We have had preliminary conversations with Greg and Mike, and I would like to explore that,” Fox chairman and CEO Dana Walden told reporters today in Beverly Hills, Calif. “We had very preliminary conversations. Given what’s going on in the country, I think they have a point of view how those characters would respond, but again, it was one meeting and I hope to revisit it. The meeting was probably two months ago, two and a half months ago. They’re both very busy and it was really just a first exploratory, ‘Are you excited about this? Is there potential in a future?’ and they were both excited about it, but they’re working on a lot of different things individually so it’s about finding time.”
It's not much, but it's at least a promising step toward getting, at least, one more season of genius moments like, the "That's My Purse" moment, "THATHERTON", or the sultry sounds of one Chuck Mangione. Heck, it'll just be nice to hear the theme song again.
Re-runs still air nightly on Adult Swim.
